Very easy to assemble. Beautiful finish. Don't let the product description of "brushed gold highlights" scare you off. They are ever so subtle. I had to actually look for them. The black finish looks amazing next to my chocolate brown sofa. This lamp is as nice as those I have looked at costing three times the price.
