This was a surprise...well I guess it shouldn't be for the price I paid. =) Definitely more rigid than I thought it would be. I placed it in the corner of a bedroom, but now I am wishing I bought it for the living room or den because it's beatiful. It has very clean lines and it's not cheap looking at all. The foot switch on it is also really nice feature.

I purchased this lamp to use next to the sofa in my family room; however, since the sofa 'floats' and we walk behind it, the back of the arm (boom) extended out too far to avoid walking into it. I moved the lamp to the living room and use it next to a reading chair where it works out perfectly. Love the sleek, modern look!

This lamp was a little pricier than what I initially wanted to pay, but I'm glad I took a chance on it. It's beautiful and fits perfectly in our reading area. Gives off just the right amount of light for reading or for lighting the entire room in a cozy manner. We use it every day. I love the "step on" power switch which is located close to the base of the lamp (so quick and easy). Overall, we couldn't be happier with the lamp and we're giving serious thought to purchasing the table lamp that matches it.
