We live in an old house. Only had a bulb on the ceiling, not much light was there. Put this up and whammo, great lighting, and much more attractive than having a hanging bulb there! I would recommend this light for anyone that has a small room that needs more lighting.

This is a great, inexpensive flushmount to use in a small, low-ceilinged room that needs a central source of life. Certainly bright enough, and doesn't interfere with the decor.
