Never, never would I buy this lamp again

This lamp is a piece of 'garbage'...mainly involving the light bulb. The Ott-lite bulb bulb and its construction must have been made in a 5th world country (if any exist). Very probably the light source (power section) behind the bulb is just as bad. I have now gone through two light bulbs in 60 days...at a large dollar cost for each!!! The first one just went fizz-pop with a little smoke and was gone. The second took it's time...30 days. At first would take time for the entire bulb to fully light and then... (you guessed it)fizz and pop. Do not purchase this lamp or any lamp with Ott-lite light bulbs.

Use this lamp for reading; only wish that the lamp stand extended about 6-10 inches taller. Love the type of light - less strain on the eyes (old eyes). Price is awesome for the quality and benefit of light directed for reading spotlight.

This lamp is great because I can use it for reading or doing puzzles while others in the room are watching television. It is fully adjustable to prevent the light from reflecting on the television screen or shining into anyone's eyes.
