I love the design and profile of this lamp. It looks stunning against my medium gray walls. However, I did find it nearly impossible to use the on/off switch because you cannot reach it from the bottom (the plate that the rods attach to limits access). Reaching around a hot bulb from the top is very difficult. I solved the problem by installing an in-line switch.

I first looked at these lamps for $30 less each before Easter when they were on sale, but did not have my tables yet and had to pay the extra $60 when my tables came in. Fortunately I had a switch to attach to turn them off and on. They would be a pain if I did not have that. I would have considered sending them back in that case. Design is nice, just need to have a push button switch on the bottom of the lamp.

Switch cannot be accessed from the bottom and is very difficult to access from top when bulb is hot. I had an on-line switch installed a few inches from the base to solve this problem.

Fabulous big rectangular shade throws plenty of light, looks wonderful (a little tall on the dresser, but that's OK there's a bottom shade for the bulb, no glare!) in our transitional/travel themed bedroom.
