I have it over my kitchen sink - I don't always want the bright ceiling light on - get plenty of light to do most tasks. It's a shame it was on the clearance table - but then I wouldn't have gotten such a great deal. Maybe something similar will come out.

We installed two of these fixtures in our law office copy room. The office is an old converted craftsman 1920's house. This style of lighting goes well with the design and age of the house. These two fixtures replaced a fan/light fixture that was ill suited for task lighting. Two of these track fixtures are much better for our copy room, but we still have to use a desk lamp for additional task lighting.

I put this above my bar area and pub table. The coloring when it is turned on is beautiful. The only thing I wish was different is that it was a bit larger. The lamp shades are smaller then I expected and it is a small area that it is in but I live in a turn of the century home and ceiling are a bit higher. The size is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.........it probably deserves five however when it comes to looks and construction. The tiffany shades are extremely hot when light is on because of the halogen light bulbs but this is my first halogen light fixture and I guess that is not uncommon.
