Customers most agreed on the following attributes:
Seat Cushions flatten over time and feels like I'm sitting on the frame.. Not built to last.. Will have to re stuff cushions.. Not sure if down filled seats flattens easily. I will re stuff w poly fill
We are so happy with this sofa! It is incredibly comfortable! Guests even remark about how relaxing it is to cozy into the gracious seating room and get comfortable! Similar look to much more expensive pieces and better construction than we found at our local furniture stores.Images/Videos shared by: Mkathena
The only thing we weren't happy with were the plastic feet. Went on-line and googled sofa feet and found some nice wood ones 1 inch longer & they look much better. We like our furniture higher than what you find these days. After adding the new feet it's perfect in every way!
Web site indicated this product was in stock, so I ordered expecting delivery quickly. The updates supplied, two of them told me nothing so I called after a week only to find the product was NOT in stock and the expected return in stock was a month away. I was promised that I would be kept informed and given a $60 credit for the inconvenience. The product returned in stock earlier than I expected but I was NOT given any kind of update. I only found out about the return to stock after checking their site periodically. Now to review of the sofa. The fabric is a heavy twill canvas style fabric, tightly woven and appears to be a fabric that will wear well. The color is a creamy yellowish, off white, NOT a natural with grayish tones. The sofa came well wrapped and protected with the legs unassembled from the sofa. It was not much trouble to attach the legs, but we did have a hard time finding them in the packaging which came with no instructions. The legs were packaged underneath the bottom of the sofa in a zippered compartment. They are plastic but do not show under the skirt. I expected to get a sofa that was a bit more soft to sit on based on sofas available locally made in a similar manner using a feathered exterior covering. I actually took one of the cushions apart because I was not sure the cushions actually had a covering using the feathers based on how hard the sofa was. This sofa sits on the stiff side. The seat height is on the high side. I am 5' 8" tall with long legs, 33" and when I sit on the sofa all the way back against the cushion my legs barely come to the floor. The seat depth is extra long from front to back at 24". To be comfortable I feel I have to have one of the pillows behind my back. I plan on making more pillows to sit fully along across the back of the sofa. This sofa is not a delicate looking sofa in person. It appears to be on the chunky side. The seat pillow height is a full 6 5/8" tall. It is an OK sofa, well made, not as comfortable as I was expecting from previous reviews. I am hopeful that after sitting on the sofa the cushions will soften a bit. I have mixed emotions about the sofa. I would recommend the sofa with the observations stated above. I would not recommend this sofa to short people or people with short legs or someone who is expecting a soft cushy sofa. It probably is best for someone who needs a rather stiff sofa, someone with a bad back for example. The picture of the sofa on the web site is accurate. The quality seems to be good, better than a lot of sofas I have seen lately.
I'm using this sofa and the matching loveseat in a family room. they will be placed at a right angle to each other with an end table & lamp between them.
This sofa has quality construction. The cushions have a feather fill and really hold their shape well.
This couch was much more than I expected for the price. Durable, comfortable and comparable to what a few notable "high-end" stores offer at triple the cost. If you are going for the traditional/transitional slipcovered look, then this couch is for you. Don't waste your money elsewhere. Yes, it is a "lamp store," but don't underestimate their furniture offerings. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Love my couch for all the reasons listed!
I searched long and hard to find a slip cover sofa in this style. Who knew I would find it at Lampsplus! The cost was half of other stores. Very sturdy construction. Love it!!!!Images/Videos shared by: Zippy
Needed a large sofa for a tall husband who falls asleep while watching TV. Have a 9x12 room; sofa fits perfectly on rear 12ft wall flanked by table lamps, opposite is 9ft. bookcase with/TV insert& 3ft.glass door entry.Since room is small, cozy store the ottoman on 3rd 9ft.wall under 4x7ft.window,opposing wall is mirrored closet.Sofa fabric is twill and washable, sink in comfort, great support for your body 28"deep x 29" wide cushions so you can curl your knees up!
