We had two of these installed in our mudroom/laundry, and it is very nicely illuminated. This is a GREAT value for the style, the Lamps Plus representative I spoke with said that these are manufactured in-house by LP rather than by a third party, which is the reason these cost so much less than the others. I wish they had a few more sizes!
I loved this fixture for a residential project, small powder room. It was perfect and the fact the price made it even better!
This fixture is perfect for the house that was built in 1911 it is true to the time of the house and is perfect in the space, it is in a pantry/office area off the kitchen and it gives great light to work with and I can see all the food in the cabinetry. I would order this fixture again if I needed for a different space it would be perfect in a bathroom.

I only wish that this lamp came in a dark bronze color so that I could put it in some other rooms in the house.

Gives great overhead lighting, without having guests look up into the glare of a bare bulb. Large size for the wattage allows light to fill whole lamp with soft, vanilla light bright enough to be the main light source.
Our upstairs bathroom, part of an old remodel, had mistakes in the ceiling height causing the over-the-sink light to be too high up and too dim (40 watts). We considered getting a pendant, because the ceiling attachment would fit our small ceiling hole, but felt a pendant could add glare while not increasing the wattage. Neither a modern semi-flush light, nor a formal chandelier, would match our Country Cottage decor, while both of those choices would require expensive contractor work to expand ceiling holes, rewire, then repair and repaint. When we saw this Schoolhouse Light in Country Living Magazine, we immediately went to Lamps Plus.com to learn that its unique shape came in several sizes; the metal matched our brushed faucets and cabinet knobs; it was on sale; [...] We bought it immediately, adding an energy efficient CF 60 watt bulb. There are even matching sconces available, and this charming style will fit modern as well as traditional decor. This light now hangs farther down than a ceiling light, yet has a milky white globe to fully enclose the bulb and diffuse the light softly without glare. We recycled the old 40 watt glass globe to our back porch, where it looks original to the house. This Schoolhouse Light met our needs and more!
the base seems to be not too substantial vs. others like this I have seen, but once it's up, you can't tell. All around nice light.
This is a clean bright light. Real Glass with great smooth curves and lines.
