This 2-light bar bath from Hudson Valley Lighting features two opal glass shades which are held into place by a polished nickel finished fixture. This fixture can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.

nice fit for our period style bathroom

The shades were uneven in thickness and weight, and one was chipped. I did receive a replacement shade at no additional charge which was a better match. However, there were still some smaller flaws such as the flange which allows the screws to secure the shade to the fixture was too shallow. The bulbs are also very hard to change as you have really no clearance to the wall if fixture is mounted without additional backing.. Otherwise it looks beautiful.

Installed by a contractor so I have no comments about how easily it went it. In fact, he installed it by centering it over what would not be the center of our sink, so it's off to the side a bit. I was bummed at first but didn't want to pay to have it moved, so we're living with it, and I'm starting to love it off-center, like a perky ladies hat from the 50s, a perfect match for our retro bathroom.

This made all the difference in our little powder room. It is bright, but the soft finish of the shades really creates a warm glow. Paired with our barely pink walls and white pedestal sink, this room now looks very tailored and quite expensive.
