This fireplace fireback is cast iron with a black finish. Features a small pineapple design at the upper portion of the center. Designed to rest on the floor of the hearth to absorb heat from any gas, log, or wood burning fireplace and radiate it back into the room. Also works to protect the firebrick from heat and flames.
