I bought this lamp for my son's room and it works and looks good.The one criticism is that the shade just rests on the bulb and a harp has to be added to the lamp in order to really stabilize the shade.

I had been looking at this style of lamp at another store and was hesitating for awhile as it would have cost $400 for two lamps! These went on sale and I was relieved to get the lamps I had been coveting at a much better price. these are well-made and completely neutral so you can change your bedroom decor as often as you like and they will match! Well-made and nice-looking

I ended up purchasing 2 of these lamps to use on bedside tables. They look great; definitely add some "umph" to the room. I'd think they would look good in any room, though....they add a stylish touch, yet are subtle and understated at the same time.
