this is a great floor lamp! it was just delivered, via fedx, less than an hour ago, with no whining about the 5 flights of stairs. i'm one of those people who doesn't like to be confused by reading directions; therefore, after peeling away all of the packaging, i was able to put together the lamp, screw in the 3 bulbs & plug in the lamp in less than 15 minutes. it stands regally between my laptop & sewing machine & well illuminates that area without taking up an inordinate amount of space. although i have mainly accolades for this lamp, please note: it was not produced in the u.s.

We placed this floor lamp near the computer area. The ability to direct three lamps allows us to illuminate the keyboard, work area and screen.

My daughter needed a lamp for her living room and chose this one. The fact that each head can be aimed in whatever direction needed and all three bulbs light separately, makes for very versatile lighting. Assembly was quick and straightforward. The only minor shortcoming is that in one of the heads the threads of the part into which the bulb is screwed must be slightly off, as screwing it in is more difficult than in either of the other two.

Good enough for the office

This is a nice lamp. Because the fixtures don't rotate 360 degrees and are all pointed away from the post, you can't use it very easily in small areas or where you want to point the fixtures in more or less the same direction. To fix this I removed them and flipped them around, so they all pointed inward instead of outward. The nuts and bolts are tiny, making this a bit tricky. Overall a good lamp for the price.
