I choose this style to go in between our love seat and a rocker recliner. I also have a small end table in between the two so the lamp is behind the end table and certainly dresses up our living room with it's eligant design. The bottom switch lets you choose bottom or middle light on or both on at the same time. The top switch operates the top light which also is a dimmer too. Great lamp! I would highly recommend it!

I purchased this lamp to set next to my fireplace and behind a chair. I wanted a torchiere to provide ambient lighting in the room when watching tv (use as low light) and also with the ability to brighten when having company over (dimmer is awesome). I also wanted the option of having task lighting behind a chair, so having everything in one light fixture was tops. My decor is Tuscan and this lamp fits the bill. The price was excellent and the lamp is very sturdy and well made. It is a little larger than it looks in the photo, but not big enough to hamper fitting behind a chair. I have had my lamp for over a year and it still looks as good as when I first got it. Easy to clean...just dust occasionally. The bulbs are easy access to change, but haven't had that issue yet. Lamps Plus also has many other style lamps (table and wall) that would match this design. I purchased the table lamp also and is a nice smaller size to fit nicely on an end table in the same room. I searched many of my local stores as well as numerous websites for a lamp such as this, and never found anything close to the nice appeal of this one, yet most were way over $300 to start, and only included one task light. I highly recommend...you won't be disappointed. Also, I am a repeat customer with Lamps Plus as they have high quality items at decent prices...and shipping was prompt and free! this is a beautiful is lamp just what we wanted. However it is difficult to ship, as we got two separate shipments of the large glass shade,(plus the one included in the original order) all were damaged on the rim. Customer service for this damage was excellent, but after the 2nd replacement, we gave up and kept the least damaged and turn the chip side to the wall.

When putting the lamp together u have to make sure to line up your pieces so it screws together evenly or the lamp will be crooked. I had to put a piece of cardboard under the lamp to make it stand even. It sits on carpet. The lamp looks great in my living room and what I love about it, u can adjust the lights on the pole so you can read or light up a particular area that you want to accentuate. The sale price.was good. I love Lamp Plus sales.
