Great conversation piece

I put this in a dark corner and hid he bottom four feet with a large plant. The globes hung over my grand piano and illuminated some art. It was stunning and drew many compliments. It did take some thought to find the best position for each of the arms, but once that was worked out we enjoyed it very much. This lamp takes 40w bulbs so it's not great for reading. We use appliance bulbs because they are smaller and didn't extend below the bottom of the shade causing glare. Traditional bulbs did create a glare problem. Lost the last one in one of those "life happens" events, but will buy a new one as soon as I find one that comes in brass EVEN THOUGH My lamp had brass finish and it began to wear off after only a few years.

I bought this lamp for my new office and its both functional and decorative. It took a little bit to assemble and the box it came in was messy. The individual light pieces were hard to spread out - but now that we have it where I want it, it looks amazing! I get compliments on it everyday :)

I think I would've liked this lamp better if we had a different spot we were looking to illuminate. It didn't suit where we put it. Also, a couple of the arms of the lamp were bent upon unpacking, and weren't bendable enough to fix.
