This is a beautiful fixture. I was puzzled about how to mount it after looking at the pictures. The sales staff made sure I was satisfied with the instructions before I purchased. The instructions are not the greatest but a do-it-yourselfer that has hung other fixtures can figure it out. The picture is a little misleading, the chains go straight up to the apron, which mounts to the ceiling box and joist. The light is incredible in our kitchen. We used halogen energy saver spotlights and love the lumination. We love the color of the fixture, it blends well with our copper and dark iron hardware. We could not be happier with this product.

I had the chandelier hung over the center island in my kitchen. I was more thrilled with the enhancement, both illumination and beauty, than the actual function of hanging pots. Because it looks so beautiful I'm not sure I will distract from it by hanging pots. I had a dimmer added and it is really nice to dim it in the evening which adds a good low light and warmness to the room. It is very heavy and took 3 guys to hold it while the electrician hung it but it was worth the time and effort. There is nothing that I am disappointed in with this product.

I hired an electrician to install. The wiring was already in place he just had to hang it. It took 3 hrs to install. We have plenty of lights in the kitchen so we used the flicker candle balbs. You will need one of the suction balb changers for the down lights. It is too hard to get them in and out and I have a very small hand. Otherwise...it is beautiful and looks like it has always been over my island.

I had been looking for a lighted pot rack for quite some time and hadn't found one that was that special piece. It had to be beautiful, practical and functional. The style in my new house and kitchen is Tuscan/Italian, with bronze fixtures, granite countertops, etc. This piece fits perfectly over my smaller island in the kitchen and is definitely the centerpiece of the kitchen.
