Too Many Problems

Caution: Torch socket is too deep; needs longneck bulb. Maybe LP#40185? Torch has dimmer, so no 3-way bulbs or fluorescents. Side light sockets are okay, but rotary switches are on back of hot(!) metal shades. Floor switch is for torch only, not sides. Not a good choice.

Slim and Sleek

Every room should have some black in it and this is mine. Discreet but gives great light. I like the option of turning on the additional lights. The sleek design should fit nearly anyone's style.

The Base is a Real Problem

I have bought 4 of these over the years and in all 4 cases, the filler in the base (it's like black plaster) has cracked into dozens of pieces and fallen out after 1 to 3 years...leaving the lamp with no counter-weight in its base to keep it upright. If there was a way to secure the weight in the base, the lamp would be great! This is a real problem.
