Works perfect - very stable. The dimmer idea is great. The light diffuses perfectly either with sunlight or a dark room. One issue is you will need a two thousand watt Krypton / Argon laser to get it out of the box it comes in. Approximately nine miles of tape was used to wrap it up.

From the reviews and pictures this looked great. I looked at the lamp operating and discovered contrary to what the salesperson had said over the phone that it was a warm white light. This is very blue and I would judge it to be between 5600 and 6000 Kelvin. Also for my application a dimmer would be nice. The switch on the unit was quite tiny and would be difficult to find in the dark. The price on sale is superb but it will not meet my lighting needs.

I use the lamp to light my workbench for close-up electronics work. It has a pleasing illumination, and is really easy to adjust to whatever position. The only drawback is that the switch is a little tricky to manipulate.

We use this when we are working on our jigsaw puzzles. We had a florescent one that broke and we wanted to move aaway from that kind since the bulbs are toxic. I love the fact it is energy efficient.

A Great Task Lamp

The long neck let's me place the lamp behind all my stuff and still get great light at the front of the desk. The LED is the best. Light is clearer than traditional lighting.
