Very nicely designed chandelier. It is heavy and substantial looking but the airiness of the design allows it to work in our small dining room. One thing that doesn't show in the picture is that the glass shades have a subtle etched pattern that shows when lit-- for me it was a nice surprise and added to this light's great look.

We hung this in our formal dining room that has a high, vaulted ceiling. It is perfect - simple but interesting design that blends well with many different decorating styles. Great value and quality product. Gives off soft, warm light and has pretty shades (they have a subtle cross-hatch-type design on the glass you can't see very well in the photos). My husband installed it by himself. I can't think of any negatives!

I purchased this for my clients whose home was updated to eclectic-Tuscan style. I love the rich color, the movement (it reminds me of wind passing through it) and its unique style.
All who have seen it really love it. I selected other complimentary pieces for the hallway and stairwell as Franklin apparently does not make matching pieces. It all fits together beautifully!
My clients have it on a dimmer to add just a little bit more soft visual effect while dining.

We recently had the bronze ribbon chandelier from Franklin Iron Works installed in our living room, replacing a track light. It fit in beautifully in the high-ceiling room, and proved to be a perfect complement to our eclectic mix of antiques, oriental rugs and artwork. Despite initial concerns, it provides plenty of lighting options for conversation, reading or mood lighting (a dimmer switch allows us to change the brightness level). This product is used in a dining room, we installed ourselves with the easy to follow directions. It took about 2 hours from the time I opened the box, to flipping the light switch to see if it worked. It provides great light to our 15 x 12 space. I really havent seen any downside so far. Great Buy

I can't stop getting complements on my chandelier. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it. It adds so much character to my room. I have it in the dining area of my kitchen in front of the sliding glass doors. I have a sunken living room and when you look into the dining area it falls nicely below the arched doorway. Looks fabulous!

This fixture is stunning - a sweet combination of contemporary and classic. In my dining room, it looks superb, but the six small bulbs don't offer the brightest illumination. Not much of a minus - who wants glare over the dinner table?
