While checking to make sure it worked, I plugged this lamp in while it was on my desk. The wall plate is flat, so it sits nicely on the desk and puts out much more pleasant light than a high-intensity desk lamp -- and the ON-OFF switch is in a better location than on any desk lap I have owned.

Bought this light for my 10-yr old and hung as reading light just above his bed. Works perfect - love that lights do not get hot - looks modern and stylish so he won't outgrow it. I really like that the light is adjustable, the vertical movement with the bar is quite limited, but the other adjustable parts make up for it. Wish it came with matching cover plate for the cord - only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

We used these in a guest bedroom in our beach house. We choose this lamp because it is a LED and will stay cool over beds that are most often used by children. They are beautiful and functional.

We needed reading lights for a murphy bed installation in one of the guest rooms at a La Quinta vacation home. Problem is that they had to be mounted on the side walls inside the enclosure and there is only about a 6 inch clearance on each side when the bed is raised back into its enclosure. First ones we found at a large chain hardware store fit but the illumination was totally inadequate and they were returned. Found these on line at LampsPlus and they worked out great. The lights fold back against the wall well away from the bed frame when closed. And the illumination and adjustments make them perfect for reading in bed. Solution to what was a fairly unique problem.
