Choosing a Brass Ceiling Fan

Just because ceiling fans serve a practical purpose does not mean they cannot also add style and flair to a room as well. Can a ceiling fan be too big for a room?

• One size does not fit all! A ceiling fan needs to be just the right size for your room to ensure proper air movement.
• Blades should generally hang 8 feet above the floor, while metal blades should be 10 feet above the floor at minimum. Depending on your ceiling height and motor size, you may need shorter or longer downrods.
• For smaller rooms, 75 square feet or less, a 44-inch or smaller blade span is recommended. A 48 to 58-inch fan is good for rooms up to 350 square feet, while rooms over 350 square feet need 60-inch or larger fans.
