I needed a roll around magnifying floor lamp for viewing shot-down drawings and this one fit the bill at a resonable price. Could stand to have a longer cord, but an extension cord fixed that. The box arrived the worse for wear, but lamp was not damaged. A larger rectangular lense would be even a better offering but could not find that.

This lamp helps me to see the detail in the needlework I do. Hardanger requires very accurate counting and cutting of individual threads to reveal a weft to weave over. All the various types of needlework I do require better near vision than I now have, and this lamp solves that problem for me.
This lamp is quick and easy to assemble, provides excellent illumination and magnification, and is wonderfully engineered and designed. It rolls around quite easily on a solid base, not a bit top heavy, and the extension arm lets you place the magnifying light at any height, any angle. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into this product. I use it for repair work and examining fine details in coins, illustrations, etc. My wife uses it for knitting while we watch TV, and the light doesn't disturb our TV viewing.
