Bottom Line:

This fixture is quite modern looking. We've installed it in our basement kitchen, and it's used alongside cans to light a relatively small area. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary light source. Installation went fine. What I didn't like about this fixture was the exposed halogen bulbs if you look up at the fixture. We fixed it by adjusting the heads such that the lights faced the back wall of the area. We got brighter coverage, since the light bounced off that wall, and it also served to make the exposed bulbs not visible! Win-win, and in this price range, I think this is a totally adequate, modern-looking fixture.
