too hot to handle

Positives: It has an unobtrusive, clean, contemporary design. The base is heavy, so the lamp is very stable. Negatives: The lamp gets extremely hot; the Xenon bulb is expensive and difficult to obtain even from a lighting specialist store; the bulb is difficult to change and must be handled so that oil from the fingers don't get on the bulb. The user can tilt the lamp away from himself for comfort but if he does, it glares into the eyes of others in the room. Neutral observation: It produces a very bright light, and the area it lights is a fairly small circle.

i love this lamp... it just isn't enough illumination for what i need. i might move it to another location and come back in to your store and buy something else!

This is a halogen lamp so it does get hot. However, it is equipped with a little "stem" that allows the user to redirect the light when needed. I really appreciate the modern style and that it does not take up much room.

Monotone simple clean look, minimumist like design approach is very attractive. Function is more than enough for reading at sofa. Plastic push switch may be revised because too ordinary and cheap look.
