Lamp arrived with defects in the lampshade material and after a call to customer service a replacement was immediately provided at no charge. Since the shade is such a dark color, though, the lamp does not provide the greatest lighting. I forgive that, though, because it is so perfect for our decor.

This lamp is useful as it is aesthetically pleasing. 3 years ago I bought the Bijoux table lamp for my art studio at work. I recieve many compliments on it from clients. When I saw that the Bijoux floor lamp was on sale for [$] [...] I jumped on this deal and bought it for my living room at home. I love purple and this lamp goes perfect with my decor.

Originally, I had bought another lamp at lampsplus.com which didn't have the hole to put the pole through drilled out properly. It was annoying in that the floor lamp was heavy and I had spent a lot of time putting it together before I could go no further. There was no way I could re-box it, especially how heavy it was, so I made arrangements to bring it back to my local store. That is where I saw THIS BEAUTY and fell in love with it. It is so stylish and beautiful and I knew it would fit in my bedroom nicely and I'd take out my bedroom lamp and move that to my office which I was originally buying for. [...] I brought my lamp home, place it in its spot and was so excited I emailed pics of it to my friends and family who all agreed that it is beautiful. I've been happy with its use as well. One of the best purchases I've made.

This looks great in my daughter's green and purple room. It ties it all together. I bought the floor model so I don't know how hard or easy it was to assemble. It is a very sturdy well built fun lamp.

Shortly after assembling the lamp and installing a three way bulb the three way function switch broke. Essentially I now have a one level wattage lamp. I expected to use the low wattage for mood lighting and that is not feasiable.

I have been looking for lamps to complement my eclectic purple bedroom for a while now. Last week I found the Bijou floor and table lamps on Lamps Plus. They arrived today and THEY LOOK AMAZING!!! They generate good light for reading and the purple shades create a nice subtle tone in the room. Very easy to assemble, great long cord and very sturdy.
