I have this as the primary light source in a 13x14 ft. kitchen, and it is nice and bright without being harsh. The installation directions have you securing this fixture to the ceiling electrical box and again to the ceiling itself, which seems unnecessary for its weight. The electronic ballast on the first unit failed at 4 months, and Lamps Plus replaced the entire fixture at no cost. Thank you Lamps Plus!!
