How bright is the light? it is a softer LED or will this light up a 12x12 bedroom?
dennis o on Aug 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi dennis - The light output is 1300 lumens, which is comparable to the output of a 75 watt incandescent bulb. The color temperature is 3000K, which tends to be more of a soft white color.

Ceiling fan lights are not designed to light up a whole room anymore due to the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Ceiling fan lights are better used as ambient lighting, not as a primary lighting source.

deceptive picture
I called about the glass shade and was told that it is a white glass. It is clearly amber.

Pros: Works in Both Directions, Quiet, Circulates Air Well, Range of Speeds

Cons: Not Bright Enough, Unattractive

deceiving picture
i had to return these fans. The blades are not espresso color, but med brown plastic blades with painted wood grain. It may be ok for outside, since duel purpose, but inside will look very cheap.
The pictures on this website show a totally different fan. Do not go based on the picture.

Cons: Ugly plastic blades, Unattractive

Sweet, Quiet, Nice.
Nicely constructed, with the internal wiring all done and tucked away for you.
A breeze to install, as long as your electrical box in the ceiling is already supported for fans (be sure to check on this for any fan).
And quiet. All 3 speeds.
The fan blades are sturdy plastic, but look fine from the floor. (Not a funky color). This little fan moves plenty of air in either direction and the controls are quite easy to hook up and use.
Will be buying a couple more for the guest room and laundry.

Cheap looking fan
I was very disappointed with the look of this fan. I bought two for guest bedrooms and I have repalced them with other fans. The blades are cheap looking plastic and not something that I would want in my home or recommend. When I called the manufacturer I was told that I couldn't exchange the blades for something better looking but that I could purchase another set of replacement cheap blades. I can't recommend this company either.

Cons: Unattractive

Just what I had in mind
I bought this for my sister who is mentally and physically challenged. We live in a high rise condo building and our unit is on the Westside. For some unknown reason, her room gets much hotter than any other room. Now with a flick of a switch, we can drop the temperature many degrees in moments. It is quiet and prewired so it is an easy install. My one regret is that I cannot find the info to register the fan.

Looks great and definitely lives up to the "traditional" name. Very quiet and can move some SERIOUS air. Worth every penny. My only gripe is that the wall control didn't fit inside my switch box. I have an older home with smaller metal boxes for all my electrical.

great for the porch
I was concerned about the reviews, but I previously bought another Minka fan for the kitchen and was impressed with its quality and ease of installation, so I thought I'd try this one for the porch. The blades are plastic-looking, but fine for the porch. The base is attractive brown. The wall remote works well. It's quiet and moves a lot of air. Stylish modern design. I like it.

Pros: Range of Speeds, Circulates Air Well, Attractive, Works in Both Directions, Quiet, Easy to install

Cons: Not Bright Enough

Works for us
This was installed by the electrician in our new house. The ceiling is only 8 feet, so we wanted a flush mount fan and no pointy thing on the end of the light, or pull chain. The wall remote works well, the fan runs quietly and has made quite a pleasant difference during this hot stretch. The blades are not wood and are darker than the picture, more the color of the fan box, which I like. From a distance, who notices that the blades are not wood?

Pros: Attractive, Range of Speeds, Works in Both Directions, Quiet, Circulates Air Well

Best Uses: Air Circulation, Smaller Rooms
