Can this fan be used outdoors under a pergola?

Want to put it in a bedroom that has a 83" ceiling to floor height. What do you think ??
A shopper on Jun 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The rule of thumb for ceiling fans is to have a minimum 7 foot clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor. For your ceiling height, we would not recommend using a ceiling fan. Please contact one of our knowledgeable Lighting and Home Décor Specialists who will be more than happy to assist you in finding other options to meet your specific needs. Pull chain not smooth
I like the fan and how it works. However, the pull chain does not move smoothly. It makes it hard to know if the speed has hanged or if the fan is off right away.
