What is the style number for receiver replacement? And also remote control
YVETTE B on Nov 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi, to order a replacement receiver please contact our parts department.
I have a peak ceiling in my sunroom. it is 8 feet and 9 inches high. I really like this fan and light fixture. I read blades need to be 10 feet from floor. will this be close enough?
Cherrin H on Jan 31, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It is required to have a 10'ft clearance from the floor to the tip of the blades since the blades are constructed of metal. If your ceiling is 8'ft 9" inches it will hang too low making it unsafe.
Can you install this fan w/o the 6" rod?
A shopper on Oct 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The minimum 6" downrod is necessary for installation.
Does anyone know the weight of this fan?
A shopper on Aug 1, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The fan with the light kit weighs about 21 lbs.
This fan showed up as an outdoor ceiling fan, is this true?
Amanda B on Jul 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I installed this model fan in a 12 x 12 room with a vaulted ceiling. The blades are metal and you need good safety clearance for headroom. This particular fan really moves air!
It doesn't do any harm if you use an outdoor-rated fan indoors. However, I would definitely not use an indoor-only rated fan in a damp or possibly wet location.

You've heard of Hunter's "5-minute fan"? Well, this is more like a 5-hour fan. (End up needing a slope adapter and longer downrod? Try 5 days+ ...)

Seriously, I've probably installed 20 ceiling fans in my lifetime, and this was the most difficult by far. The directions that ship with this unit bear zero correspondence to it. So you'll just be figuring out installation yourself via trial and error.

My advice to Casa Vieja or Lamps Plus or whoever manufactured this thing? (BTW, good luck Googling the manufacturer for help and guidance!) Invest in some technical writers and customized product info. Please don't continue to frustrate your customers with inscrutable instructions! Speaking of investments ...

Maybe they don't care about the installation difficulty. Maybe people who buy $400 ceiling fans generally hire pros to install. I don't.

And hey, it does look nice. So maybe you'll be happy, as long as you're paying someone else to install it ... as long as you're not paying by the hour!

Seems like everything I purchase from Lamps Plus shows up wrong or damaged.
Ceiling fan arrived with the incorrect wiring to use a light fixture. Sent it back.

we were disappointed
We were told the fan came with an LED bulb and it didn't.
Then when I was going to install it I was told by the tech support than the light can't be configured with an on the wall dimmer as I was told it could.
We returned the fan.

Response from Lamps Plus
Hi Harold K., we do apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the bulb and installation process on your fan. This fan does in fact come with one 60 watt Edison and one 13 watt CFL bulb, as well as a remote control with on/off light control. We would not recommend using a dimmer with this design due to the possibility of bulb incompatibility. We're glad to hear you were assisted in the end, but should you have any more questions or concerns, please reach out via phone, email, or chat. Thank you.
