Does this fan have a DC motor, it is not stated in the title?
sophie L on Nov 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: AC Fan.
Is this fan suitable for a pool/hot tube area?
Greg D on Jul 2, 2018

Please feel free to contact one of our knowledgeable Lighting and Home Décor Specialists who can provide you with some fantastic ceiling fan advice and possible other fan options. Does the 60’ or 72’ Turbina emit a more powerful breeze? My understanding is that shorter blades move faster. I am using this for a large outdoor area so I don’t know if bigger blades or faster speed is better.
A shopper on Jun 11, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I am not really sure how to answer your question. We have the fan mounted inside very high, approx. 134".in a 500 square foot room with 4 desks in it.. There is no real breeze created but you know the air is moving.. We also use it in the cooler months to move accumulated heat out of the ceiling.
The slow speed is too slow for for warmer months but ok for cooler. So far the fast speed has worked ok for the hotter days. My feeling is that for your application if you are looking to concentrate the down flow the smaller diameter fan would be good..
Is the motor reversible for up flow air in winter?
FAITHE E on Jun 2, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes it is. During summer, the fan should be rotating counter-clockwise (forcing air down). During the winter, it should be rotating clockwise (forcing air upward).
How do you remove the existing downrod in order to install a longer downrod?
JoAnn B on Nov 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You will have to loosen up the set screw located on top of the yoke cover. Once you remove the set screw you can lift the yoke cover to gain access to the cotter pin and set screws that retain the downrod.
What is the max slope on ceiling the fan can accommodate?
Rachel M on Oct 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The ceiling fan can be installed on a sloped/vaulted ceiling. The standard bracket included can adjust up to 25 degrees. If the slope is greater, a slope adapter is needed. The slope adapter will allow it to adjust up to 30 degrees. To order the slope adapter please contact one of our lighting specialists. 63461 ADAPTER
can this be used indoors too?
A shopper on Jul 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You could, but might want a more decorative one, the blades are medal. Would work in ultra modern, or in a restored older building with brick walls.
What material are the blades made of?
Christine M on Jun 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: They are metal blades. It is required by the FTC that any industrial ceiling fan with metal blades to be mounted 10 feet from the floor.
is this fan outdoor rated?
KT M on Jun 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: UL listed for damp locations.
Not suitable for locations in humid climates with salt water exposure.

Great fan for my industrial style condo
The fan generates air movement throughout the 1200 sq.ft. of the great room in my condo. The metal looks great with my industrial style. The only difficulty I had is balancing the blades. It took a lot of patience to get it right!

Great Fan
I put mine outside on my back porch and it really moves the air. It is a wee bit loud (sounds like a propeller) when on high, but it is moving a lot of air so I really don't care. I can't say enough about this fan.
