the antigue bronze looks very dark, i would prefer it to be black or almost black, could it be considered black?

The color of the shade in one photo looks like warmer, like a natural woven material--but in the other it looks white. Which is it?

BEST ANSWER: Per the manufacture, this floor lamp includes an off-white lamp shade. Depending on the color temperature of the bulb that you are using (2700K warm, 5000K daylight), the shade may appear more yellow or lighter in color when illuminated.
how heavy is this lamp? I am looking for a lamp for my porch, that won't blow over if the wind picks up.

End of 5 year quest
I have been looking for a lamp with some weight and substance and this is it. It is ingeniously and carefully packed, so easy to set up it needs no instructions, just a firm hand and good eye to thread the sections together. It looks great, excellent height for arm chair reading. I ordered my second one just moments ago.
