What is the formula for choosing a medallion size?

BEST ANSWER: There are various general guidelines on sizing a medallion. But, one way is to measure the room size to figure out the square footage. You would then divide that number by 7. The final number will be the number in inches and that should be your medallions width. Nice way to customize
I used this to soften the transition between the new contemporary ceiling fan/light fixture and ceiling. Gives a more "finished/custom" look. It was very difficult to hang the fan. Difficult to center and new screws had to be purchased as medalion is over 1/2 inch thick.

Pros: Gives light a custom look, Attractive Design

Cons: Light needs longer screws, Hard To Install
