I belong to a needlework group that meets in each other's homes. Often the lighting leaves something to be desired, but this little light has solved the problem for me! It is light and easy to either have sitting next to me or clipped to a needlework frame so that I have decent light to work by.
Since we camp a lot, we've also found this to be a nice, easy to carry light for our tent. Clips to the center of the tent ceiling for general illumination, or sits beside the sleeping bag or night reading.

I bought this to illuminate my Nook e-reader. Although this clip on light is a bit big for the Nook, it has the largest field of illumination of all the clip on book lights I examined. It's too big to clip onto the Nook itself, but I suspect that most people have their Nook in some sort of protective case. This light readily clips onto the case (cover) I have. It allows me to sit on my patio in the evenings to read, without having to turn on the patio lights. This product provides an abundant amount of bright light, thus negating the need to turn on the patio lamps. I'm well satisfied with this product.

The base is heavy enough to support the light when its arm is extended. There are wings on the base that add stability. The light is LED's. They are not the same as halogen, incandescent, or fluorescent lighting, but they are adequate for lite reading with other ambient lighting, not in a dark room.

Perfect for night reading in bed before falling asleep. My spouse is able to sleep beside me while I read and the light does not bother him. It clips on tightly to the book and the angle of the light is easy to adjust.

I made the mistake of not testing the product before an event. One of three was a complete defect. The batteries exploded in their compartment and it was too late to exchange in time for our event.

I use three of these bigger lamps, clipped onto the top of the organ music rack, to illuminate the music during candlelight masses and evening choir rehearsals. Their battery operation eliminates the need for cords, and the battery life is acceptable. I'm thoroughly satisfied with these products, and recommend them highly.

This stand works great for my daughter's keyboard music stand.

We have had some clip on lights for one polling site, but these lamps from Lamps Plus improve so much on those at a great price. Even better, we got them when they were on sale. It's a little difficult to open up the battery area (then you remove a strip so that the batteries connect) but once that happened it was great. We did not, however, check the other 19 yet.

Great product! Very useful

This product is pretty desirable for travelling, and clipping on to book. Pretty bright for its size, but its range is kind of small, so it wont illuminate whole page of a big book unless you clip it on top. Pretty cheaply prices. It's also durable , I kept it in a heavily packed backpack, and no damage.
Cons-can't change bulb. So once it's gone, its gone
