can you turn off when in bed?

BEST ANSWER: Depending on how high or far our from your bed you put these, you could do a long stretch up and turn them off. I put a dimmer switch on these lamps ( which i bought at Lamps Plus also) which sits on my bedside table so I can turn off and on from that. The lamp plugs into the dimmer and the dimmer plugs into the wall. I have these on almost all the lamps in my home to create amazing soft lighting.

BEST ANSWER: Yes you can,. but there is a limited wattage do to size of shade.. I used new low energy bulbs also only has on and off. No three ways can be used

All of the pictures with this sconce show it as hard wired, not with a cord and a cord cover. There is one picture showing it with the cord cover. I need these to hard wire; please advise? Thank you.

Good looks, good function
Placed two of these on either side of a bay window. Instant upgrade to ambiance of room. Would be a good reading light if strategically placed. One shade not glued properly, I'm betting LampsPlus will make it right if I contact them. Agree with previous review, this complements the vintage of my 100+ yr old home, but is contemporary, and bridges various styles (country, traditional, contemporary, modern). Glad I paid sale price, the quality level of the metal and finish does not justify over $50 in my opinion. I'm completely happy with them for the price paid, functionality, and appearance.

Beautiful and transitional!
I used this above my kitchen sink area in a 1938 home. I like a updated look without robbing the character of an older home! This is it! Beautiful. Installatiion was literally less than 5 minutes. If you are traditional or modern, this will work! It serves both purposes! No disappointment here!

worth every penny
I used two of these sconces to flank a mirror in a powder room....Amazing! It would be nice if they were offered with out the plug, just as a wall mount. They did the job very nicely. They look very high end

Only comment would be that the shade is a bit bigger in proportion that we expected. That said, good quality and beautiful.

Pay attention to shade measurements!
This is a nice quality sconce. I'm returning it because I did not pay attention to the measurements and the scale was way off for where we were planning to use these. The shade is HUGE! But in the right space these would be very pretty.
