BEST ANSWER: Their's no rule that says all the colors need to match. Both fixture colors are Beautiful, so either way you can't go wrong. I purchased 2 chrome and I have Yellow ceilings and I think the combination looks great. Try the see it in your room app. And try the chrome and the gold chandelier colors, to get a better feel for which you prefer.

BEST ANSWER: While this is a lovely piece I think it would detract from the country French styling (too much chrome and glass...it does have a glittery quality about it even though the glass is not faceted). Also, the visual effect is that it sits closer to the ceiling than it seems to in the online photos. It works beautifully in my bedroom application, however I would want something that hangs a bit lower for a dining space. Just my personal opinion, though; hope this is helpful!

Brielle 18 1/2 wide chrome ceiling light
I love this ceiling light. It is of very good quality. It is so beautiful. However, my light bulbs burn out too quickly. I have had to change them twice within a 7 month period. I currently have one bulb that came off leaving the base in the fixture. I have used both GE and Sylvania bulbs. I use the light everyday for a 3-4 hour time period.
