The square lantern features a flat bottom, shaped roof, and four panels of distressed, clear antique glass that shield its four nostalgic style bulbs. Post not included. BEST ANSWER: Permanent mold casting involves molds and cores of steel or other metal. Molten aluminum is poured into the mold. It is then finished with a powder coating. It is very strong and if cleaned regularly, it will last for many years!
