BEST ANSWER:Remove the 2 nuts on the top of light cap and the one post thumb screw on the support arm. Lift off the top cap and replace the light bulb. Reverse the steps to reassemble. Should take about ten minutes and a small ladder to accomplish the task.

I'm not sure. The fixture seems to have a powder-coated finish, but unlike my patio furniture which is a powder-coated steel and very heavy, this lantern is lightweight...So maybe it is aluminum. Very classy and expensive looking. I'd definitely purchase again.

If I understand correctly the measurement is 11 inches from the bottom of the round part of the back plate. It is 3 inches from the very bottom of the back plate.
I originally purchased the 25" size but had to return them as they were too small to make much of an impact. Reordered two of the 27.5' size for my front entrance and they look STATELY and GRAND! I also ordered two more in the same size for the sides of my 16' garage overhead door. Any smaller size would have seemed inadequate for the size of the door.
Replaced old outdoor lights with two of the 27 1/2" on each side of the garage doors, and one of the 21 1/2" on the front porch..they really dressed up the area and were just what the house needed...My neighbor had installed them on her house and I was admiring them, and decided to get them for our house also!

I changed out all the lights around my house using different sizes. It looks great by the front and back doors, along the back patio and flanking the garage. I love the large lanterns. The water glass gives a beautiful illumination.

This high quality metal fixture really makes a grand statement when you come up to my front door. I installed one on each side of the doors. The clear wavy glass looks really cool when the lights are on at night. I am glad that I got the 27 1/2" high exterior fixtures as they compliment my double door entry. The Casa Marseille style looks very French and I love the extended looped metal trim that extends from the top to the bottom of the fixture. It is so nice to get a fixture that is made of quality metal and powder coated black. The installation was quick and easy and the directions were easy to follow. All parts were in the box and delivery was made within 2 days of order. I ordered 3 other Casa Marseille fixtures for the outside of my garage doors. A very satisifed customer!
We installed 2 of these, 1 on each side of our garage. They illuminate very good. I haven't had them long enough to comment on how the finish will hold up. My semi handyman husband installed them. The 1st one took a little longer than the 2nd.
