Is it possible to use with a proper smart dimmer switch. What’s ur thoughts on installing in the center of living room. Have cherry/ mahogany 3” crown molding with wrought iron railing for stairs leading into raised ranch with gas fireplace and very natural looking tones, wood and plush beige carpet. Not a man cave but classy comfortable setting.??
Does this fixture use E26 bulbs? Have any of you had a problem with insects finding their way to the interior of the fixture? Are the bulbs difficult to change? Thanks!
BEST ANSWER:Yes, this fixture takes 3 E26 bulbs with a max 60 watt bulb. The fixture is enclosed which makes it difficult for bugs to get in. The bulbs are not difficult to change however, like the previous customer, I would recommend using LED bulbs to minimize the frequency of having to change the bulbs.

I currently have led light bulbs in mine- works fine. I do not have an issue with bugs getting inside. Haven't had to change the bulbs- but installing and putting bulbs in was easy.
What is meant by "damp location? I want to put it above my front door in a portico.

BEST ANSWER:Damp location means it is for use on covered porches or patio areas where it will not be directly exposed to the elements. If you portico is covered, then this would work for you.

Outstanding lighting for the front door and entrance to the Casita. This ceiling light fixture is decorative and functional. We have received many compliments on it's appearance. We also have the same product design in our foyer, so it's a beautiful transition from the outside to the inside.

I'm going for a slightly Spanish look in my home and this fits in well and is not over the top. I don't have a huge entry way, but the size of this light fits well.

My husband and I purchased this light for the front entrance of the house. It was pretty easy to install, I installed it myself and compared to some other fixtures in the house that I have installed, this one was easier. Beautiful light. But if you are at all sensitive to bright light, first make sure you have this on a dimmer. You also might consider getting the light with the mica shade instead. This came with 3 clear 60wt bulbs and you could land a small aircraft in the entryway with the amount of light it sheds. I'll be getting 25wt bulbs, frosted, and if that doesn't work I'll try to return my installed light for a 12" mica fixture.
