BEST ANSWER: Yes. It is a soft off-white. These were for my Steiffel lamps and I was replacing a VERY expensive silk shade. This was the only one I could find that sorta fit the dimensions and figured if it did not fit my needs it could be returned. The fabric looks like the silk shades that were damaged in moving. Overall, very pleased with the price and the look.

I'm looking for a shade that fits on a glass chimney on a oil lamp. Does the term 'spider' mean this type of shade? The ones with a metal ring that slides down the glass chimney?

This is a great shade.

Beautiful Replacement Shade
I have two older Steiffel lamps in my bedroom and they had silk shades. During a move one of the shades got torn and so both of them had to be replaced. I looked at hundreds of shades but ultimately chose the bell curve corner shade because it came the closest to the original shades. They look outstanding. Honestly, the fabric looks like silk and the shade looks very high quality. Great price. Great shade.

Beautiful Shade at a Reasonable Price
I am very please with this shade which was selected for me by a Lamp Plus associate after I emailed a photo of my new lamp: The style she selected was perfect. The harp sent with the shade as too short for the size of the lamp base, kowever I had a longer harp from a Stiffel lamp I was no longer using. The new shape now enhances my beautiful lamp.

Perfect shade
