Not for retrofit installations
Although I was able to make this light work for my bathroom, it has several issues with its installation and use that you should be aware of. The light fixture is held in place by four Spring metal clips. These clips require that there be space around the mounting ring provided by the kit. In my case, using a standard, already installed electrical box, there was no room. Furthermore, the box had two mounting screws which prevent the alignment of the light fixture with the room walls unless the electrical box was installed at an angle (It normally will not be). Finally you should be aware that the light exhibits strobing, which some people may find unpleasant. That is, any motion underneath the light will look choppy.

Great Kitchen Light!!!
This fixture is the 'bomb'! I had it installed into two different properties for sale and it performed better than the original design of the 1960's and the 1980's.
Great light and inexpensive. I'm looking at using it again for another kitchen! I hope that helps!

difficult to clip into junction box
These lights look great and provide a lot of light! The downside is they are very difficult to snap into place. I purchased 3 and one went in relatively easily....the other 2 are still dangling by the wire because I can't get them to snap in place. Frustrating and now and having to call an electrician in to try and get them into place.
But.....they do look good I must say! Just be warned it's not as simple as is could/should be!

Great Low Profile Design
Love this light in my small kitchen. It lights up the space and a great price for the fixture!
Install is easy but you do have to clip the fixture into the junction box which was not something I had done for a light before.
Would recommend this for anyone who has low ceilings or just wants a low profile design.
