BEST ANSWER: There is a round button in the lower right corner of the mounting plate. Turning this turns the lamp on and off, and controls dimming. I bypassed this switch and hard wired to a wall dimmer switch.. Love the lamp very solid.

I just installed these lamps with an LED dimmable light bulb and they don’t fully come on unless I toggle the dimmer switch then they go on full. I have also tried a regular incandescent lightbulb and those do not work well because they cast a spiderweb like shadow over the walls and ceiling. I am just wondering why the LED lightbulb is doing this. Is there a different bulb I should try ?

Awesome for lights beside the bed.
Bought two of these for the bedside lights and LOVE them. So glad not to need space on the nightstand for a lamp base. Often times, we don't even turn on the overhead light. Just turn on one of these and it is enough. Bought for the full range dimmer function, the 100W capability and the plug-in style so we could install ourselves. Will be installing cord covers to hide cords and to paint covers to wall color. We invested in the bulb: a 14W LED that was pricey ($30) but so worth it so that we could have strong daylight (1200 lumens at 5000 Kelvin) when we want it to light the room and to lessen eye strain that often happens with incandescent light at 2700 kelvin with reading at night. Full range dimmer is key with such a strong bulb. Only wish for improvement is easier access to screw that controls the arm swing adjustment.

I ordered two of these lamps because I liked the unique design and the dimmer switch feature. I thought they would be perfect for over the bed. I inspected them when they arrived and they looked fine, however after they were hung I pulled the arms over to the side and the double side bars were crooked. This made the lamp shades angled and not straight up and down. They looked terrible and I returned them both. Lamps Plus took both back with no questions asked even though one was not in the original box. I have purchased many products from Lamps Plus and never had this problem before. They are a good and reputable business.

I have a tall bed with posts. I needed something that would provide good light for reading. These worked great. They were substantial enough not to look to small and provide good lighting. The dimmer also is great for making it very relaxing .

Found these great plug in sconces and they were better than the pictures online and look amazing. Pull out your measuring tape because the shades were quite a bit larger than anticipated, but works so not a con.

Great bedroom lamps
The screws and anchors are to weak to hold lamp on wall. I used a stud finder and attached the lamp in that fashion. Other than that they're great lamps.

Looks more expensive than it is!
I have a large, dark--chocolate colored--family room that had a very dark corner near a bookshelf. This sconce is perfect. It adds warmth--and light!--to the corner and looks great in the room. It definitely looks a lot more expensive than the [$] I paid for it! I didn't give it the highest rating because it really does need a cord cover, but in my case the cord is the same color as the wall. It's just an extra purchase.
