Excellent light for parking area
Works great - we used it in our parking area for security. The low light is not obtrusive and the brighter light is sensitive and just the right brightness.

I hired a professional to install it, who set it up to work properly. I've moved from the home (I sold it), but the light panels last for at least 5 years. It's worth buying.

As good as any I have ever installed
Any light fixture : Motion sensor activated means it goes on when motion is detected and stays on for a set period of time. Light sensor activated means it goes on when dark and off again when light. Combo units such as this one might have a setting to go on when motion activated and stay on until morning, depending on the settings. Reliability is a major issue with such devices. The surest way to control outdoor lighting is with an in-wall timer. One of the problems with light sensor lighting is that they are often installed in places remote to direct sunlight so they may not go on and off as expected. However when they are exposed to direct sunlight or fairly intense indirect sunlight from pavement they tend to burn out. All this said, this particular fixture appears in all respects to be as good as any I have installed, and better than most. Hope this helps

Motion sensor light that is difficult to install
The installation/set up directions were written very poorly. Because of that installing this light takes many iterations to set the 4 variables to get the desired results. There may be other lights that would be easier to install.

Much More Than I Hoped For
Since my porch ceiling is soimewhat enclosed, I was worried that this light would not be able to do dusk-to-dawn, much less be motion-activated. I had no need to worry -- the light works perfectly. I highly recommend this light for any porch.

Outdoor Lighting
Just what I wanted. I light that can be controlled in a number of modes. We are using the light on our front porch as a dusk to dawn light.

Perfect light for a carport, garage or sheltered entry way
I had a very hard time finding a bright outdoor light that had both a motion sensor and that would come on only after dark. All the lights I found were one or the other - on at dark, or on every time it sensed motion whether it was dark or not. The performance features of this light are perfect for my application - a sheltered two-car carport.
You have to play with the settings a bit, but it comes on after sunset when it senses motion - and it also offers the added bonus (if you want it to work that way) of a kind of nightlight function. It will come on dimly after dark and stay on, and only go fully bright when there is motion. You can choose the brightness level of the nightlight feature. I think that is very cool.
The light is plenty bright for my location - easily the equivalent of the two 60 watt light bulbs I had previously. I opted for the warmer 3000k version of the light.
Installation was pretty easy. I screwed the light directly to the wood ceiling in my carport, but you can also mount it to an electrical box. You have to punch out the holes in the back - which is plastic. Take care not to over-tighten mounting screws since it is plastic, which could crack. I've mounted many light fixtures and ceiling fans, so mounting this light was pretty easy for me.
The only negative I have about the light is that the cover is a little tricky to take on and off. You have to twist the plastic globe, but there is nothing to help you grip the globe and the marks that you need to line up are kind of hard to see.
Overall, I think it is a great light and is perfect for what I need.

AWESOME PERFORMANCE, EXCELLENT PRICE-I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT
Needed to replace 2 security lights with one single unit. This unit does it all. It looks like an ordinary carport light AND it looks great. But it's a lot more. First, it works from dusk to dawn, something I wanted. Next when it does come on, it's a soft reduced glow which can be adjusted. Then when it detects movement, it explodes with BRIGHT light! After a preset time and no further movement, it dims to it's previous state. I LOVE this light and am VERY SATISFIED!!! I Definitely recommend this light!!!

Actual depth of light is 6.5"
Received this fixture 9/11/18. Even though the website and the label on the box say that the depth is 4 or 4.5", it is actually 6.5", which was too deep for the location I had planned. Had to return it. Now I won't trust the dimensions shown for lights on the Lamps Plus website.
