BEST ANSWER:I have this lamp and the glass shade is a frosted white (not a bright white and not cream). The white is approximately the same whitish look as the plastic cap on a bottle of water. Hope this helps.

The lamp looks great. It fits in with the industrial style I wanted for the living room. 60 watt bulbs are very bright so I went with 40. Illumination is well rounded and the white glass provides a nice bright glow. The build is solid and heavy feeling. Easy to put together and simple to change bulbs. For me, the only drawback is the switch is a bit far from the lamp. Its on a small diameter table so the switch settled near the floor. Not a flaw just an observation for my use. It looks great, the rusty look comes from black specks in the finish. Again, this does not feel like a cheap lamp.
