BEST ANSWER: Hi - it is not a shiny bright brass, but more of a darker subdued darker brass color tone.
What is diameter of shade ( and what type of fitter) because I’ll need to order new shades that are not white but more ivory?. Thank you.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the bottom diameter of the lampshade is 4" wide. It is a small uno type fitting that sits onto the socket assembly of the lamp.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, absolutely you may use a dimmer. Just be sure the bulbs you use are dimmable and be sure the dimmer switch is compatible to dim those types of bulbs.

BEST ANSWER: The light is rated for 60W max. If using the recommended bulb the unit is safe. If using a bulb higher than 60W it can cause a fire as the unit is not rated for more than 60W.
