I love the look of this sconce
I don't know if the product was easy or hard to install since I had a contractor doing my entire bathroom. I ordered two of these sconces for either side of the beveled glass oval mirror in my master bath and they look great! I love that they almost look like pillar candles.

Pros: Attractive Design, Good Lighting Area

Best Uses: Ambiance, Decoration, Primary Light Source

Great Sconce but the quality disappoints
This product was installed in a bathroom, right out of the box we noticed that one sconce was perfect but the other one was put together a little out of kilter. Since we did not have the time to return it we had to take it apart and straighten the frame and reinstall it. For the price I paid I was a little disappointed in the quality of this product. Looks very good though.

Pros: Good Lighting Area, Convenient On/Off, Attractive Design

Cons: Asymmetrical joints, poor quality control

Best Uses: Decoration, Ambiance

Crooked glass - bad design
Looked good in the box, so I ordered a second one. When they were installed, I complained to the electrician that he had gotten both of the glass shades in crooked - they both leaned noticeably to one side.

After further investigation, it turns out that the fault is with a stupid design by Hendricks. The bottom of the glass is slightly curved and it rests on three projections in the metal frame, one of which protrudes twice as far from the outer ring as the other two (to accommodate a mounting screw), thus pushing that side of the glass shade higher and making it lean. The result is a crappy-looking sconce.

Installation was easy, but I noticed that the hold-down for the shade is a cheap sheet-metal part with a notch cut out to engage the porcelain sockets outer threads instead of the full-thread nut that better manufacturers, such as Kichler, use. More difficult to thread on, but maybe saved the company 3 1/2 cents.

Response from Lamps Plus
Hi Bruce T., so sorry to hear that there were some issues with keeping the glass straight on your new sconces. We would like to confirm that this light is in fact a Kichler design from the Hendrik collection. Our customer service team would be happy to provide some troubleshooting assistance if needed, so please feel free to reach out to them via phone, email, or chat.
