BEST ANSWER: Sconce can be installed with light pointing up or down.

A gorgeous light fixture
My husband and I absolutely love this sconce! We are in the process of remodeling our master bathroom in a Craftsman style and they go perfectly with the new hammered copper sinks.

I am so happy I found them here.
