BEST ANSWER: Hi - the cord comes out from the bottom of the adjustable arm. You can see a little bit of the cord in the picture protruding from the long adjustable pole.
Does it have a pull chain to turn it on/off?

A sturdy, attractive reading lamp
It’s a attractive reading lamp. Takes up a small amount of space and has an attractive vintage color. It fits the look and purpose that I was going for. I lowered the wattage of lightbulb because the brightest it could handle was more than I needed
