House of Troy Newport Antique Brass Swing Arm Floor Lamp

I bought this lamp for my parents. The 'big chair' is the reading chair. The lamp Mom had next to that chair was a straight-up floor lamp. She would have to lean over the arm of the 'big chair' to read. The swing arm allows her and Barney to sit up in the 'big chair' and read with the light coming to them - not them leaning to the light. They often comment what a difference the lamp has made to their relaxation and reading. Happy reading in the 'big chair'.

Yes I would recommend the lamp. It looks great in my living room.

We are now ordering our third lamp because the first came badly dented and the second’s cord was sliced apart. Meanwhile we had to pay for the second lamp, which was outrageous since the first arrived damaged. We are still waiting for a refund on the one we sent back. Right now, the first is being propped up with duct tape because the screw stripped when we tried to repack it to ship it back. This was my mom’s Mother’s Day gift. We would never deal with Lamps Plus again. There is no quality control. We should have paid more with another lamp company!!!!
