It's the closest design to outdoor lights that we already have. We also hope it's brighter since it uses two bulbs and is quite tall.

Is the light fixture sealed to the outside, or would bugs be able to get behind the glass?

BEST ANSWER: It is sealed, I have not had bugs get into mine so far. They have been up for 2 months.
what is size of backplate?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - the backplate measures 14" high x 4.25" wide x 1.25" deep.
Is the hole to install near the top or bottom? Wondering if most of the fixture hangs above or below the attachment point?

Easy to install and is very bright for an outside light.

beautiful, well made, but light not consistent throughout
Customer service was great, return was easy. Wish it had been turned on in the store so I might have noticed the issue of split light before I bought it. Beautiful design otherwise.
