Can this be used on an outside porch?

Would the iron shade of this fixture fit on a standard center post? I'd like to use the shade on an existing center post fixture.

BEST ANSWER: Yes - This ceiling light uses four maximum 60 watt candelabra base bulbs.
What is distance from ceiling to top of light's rim? (the "rim" is the top edge of light closest to ceiling) We have to clear some beams for this to work.

BEST ANSWER: I have this light fixture and love it! I held a yardstick from the ceiling and to the top of the round "rim" or edge closest to ceiling was just shy of 5" - I'd call it 4 15/16". Hope this helps. If I am able to post a pic in normal comments, I'll post a pic with the ruler against the ceiling for your reference. It doesn't offer me the ability to post a picture with this response.
Does this give off enough light for a large living room?

BEST ANSWER: I have this light in my entry hallway, The hall is about 6’ x 15’ x 9’high and the fixture lights the area well in my opinion. I don’t think it would be bright enough on its own for a large area though, unless supplemented with other lighting.
It says in the description it is black but in the picture it appears bronze to me! Which is correct? Thank you.

BEST ANSWER: It is very dark bronze. It is slightly darker than the first picture on Lamps Plus but that is very close to the color
Would this be okay for a kitchen light over a table? Would it give enough light? How far would it hang down?

BEST ANSWER: It gives out plenty of light as a matter of fact, it’s pretty bright and it hangs about 12” from the cealing. It’s 2 feet wide, so it has a nice appeal for a large room. I have it hanging in our front porch to light up our entry way. I have gotten alot of compliments on how nice it looks.
How much does it weigh and does it need extra support?

How much light does this put out? From the looks of one of the photos it does not, and it casts shadows.

BEST ANSWER: We have 4 60 watt LED warm bulbs in this fixture. It's fine for our needs, but could possibly produce brighter light if we had used a whiter/bluer bulb with a higher K number. I just wrote a review and attached 3 pics that capture the shadows it casts on the ceiling and walls. Take a look at my review to see the pics for better reference.

Beautiful
Fixture was larger and heavier than I thought it would be. It is beautiful! It uses 4 candelabra bulbs - we used 60 watt LED with a warm light. It doesn't put out a ton of light because there are only 4 bulbs and we chose a warm color bulb. It might put out more light with a bulb with a higher K number and whiter/bluer light. It is an open metal frame so you can see the bulbs through the frame but that doesn't really draw your eye as much as I thought it might. The fixture does cast some shadows on the ceiling and walls (we have it in a closet). I tried to capture the shadows with the pics I'm attaching to the review.

Our designer put some gold flecks on it to go with the rest of our design for the remodeled bedroom and bathroom. It turned out pretty and we are very happy. Will be happier when our entire project is complete and we can move back into our bedroom and bathroom. I recommend this light. It is a quality fixture.

Just beautiful
This light is just beautiful. I was looking for something that was larger for a big kitchen and this fits the room nicely. It is a dark bronze color and the light does not have a shade that you have to clean. Perfect for a kitchen.
