I would say the color is a lite cranberry or a Rose' wine color. Definitely not a bright red color and any Guy would be comfortable sitting on We have three in our Living Room and love them !

The height is great, especially for arm resting. I have gotten a ridiculous amount of compliments and of course when they ask me where I got them, i scream "LAMPS PLUS".
I bought two of these chairs and they are GARBAGE! DO not buy these from Lamps Plus-you will regret it. there is white under the red color on mine and any tiny little pressure, scratches the "leather" and shows white. It is miserable
